Buckhannon is located in Upshur county West Virginia. It is located in the Northern part of the state, and surrounded by Lewis, Barbour, Randolph, and Webster counties. It is 115 miles northeast of Charleston, West Virginia, and 140 miles South of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Buckhannon is the County Seat and only incorporated city in Upshur County. The city lies in the foothills of the Allegheny Mountains. The elevation at the county courthouse is 1,432 feet above sea level. |
